Job summary

Lupin Ltd seeks a Director of Formulation R&D to lead a diverse team of lab scientists in the development of pMDIs and other OINDPs. You will design, execute and supervise pre-formulation, formulation and process development studies in alignment with cGMP and Lupin EH&S guidelines.

You will provide SME-level guidance on aerosol analytical characterization, oversee regulatory submission activities, and mentor teams across multiple respiratory development sites.

Qualifications

• PhD with minimum 8 years of relevant experience; or 12 years without a PhD.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical and inhalation technology.
• Experience in characterization of pMDIs and other OINDPs.
• Extensive knowledge of analytical chemistry methodologies (UPLC/HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR) and aerosol characterization.
• Experience supervising 6-10 laboratory scientists.
• Experience in planning, organization and project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a group of laboratory scientists conducting standard and advanced laboratory activities.
• Independently design, conduct, lead and supervise characterization studies for pMDIs.
• Provide leadership in CMC activities and represent CMC on global project teams.
• Act as SME on aerosol analytical characterization methodologies for OINDPs.
• Lead material evaluation studies and pre-formulation/formulation development for pMDIs following cGMP and relevant guidelines.
• Plan lab activities and resources weekly to meet project timelines.
