What you'll do:

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and ongoing performance of applications supporting manufacturing operations, including job scheduling, job tracking, inventory, reporting services, capacity planning, manufacturing planning, and modeling.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing operations leaders to understand day-to-day challenges, identify opportunities to improve the use of technology, and deliver solutions that enhance efficiency, visibility, and control.
  • Ensure manufacturing processing systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and well-supported to meet the demands of critical daily operations.
  • Drive application enhancements, process automation, and workflow improvements that reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and improve operational outcomes.
  • Lead prioritization across enhancements, defects, support needs, and modernization efforts, balancing strategic initiatives with the needs of daily production operations.
  • Act as the primary technology leader for this application portfolio, ensuring business needs are translated into clear priorities, delivery plans, and sustainable solutions.
  • Oversee the design, development, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processing applications and related services.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to application stability, operational efficiency, processing accuracy, inventory integrity, planning effectiveness, and team execution.
  • Partner with engineering, infrastructure, information security, ERP, and business teams to ensure solutions meet technical standards and operational requirements.
  • Support incident response, issue escalation, root cause analysis, and recovery planning for systems that impact manufacturing operations.
  • Use data, reporting, and operational insights to identify trends, inform decision-making, and support capacity planning, manufacturing planning, and future-state operational needs.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across facilities and corporate functions, serving as a trusted partner in improving how technology supports manufacturing execution.
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.
Experience you'll need to have:
  • 8+ years of experience in technology leadership, application delivery, manufacturing systems, operations technology, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams responsible for business-critical applications in a manufacturing, production, operations, or similarly high-availability environment.
  • Strong experience owning application portfolios and driving strategy, delivery, support, and continuous improvement for operationally critical systems.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with operations leaders and translate business needs into scalable technology solutions that improve day-to-day execution.
  • Experience supporting or delivering systems related to ERP, manufacturing planning, scheduling, workflow management, inventory control, reporting, operational planning, or automation.
  • Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, production support, issue resolution, and change management in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience working with enterprise technologies and platforms that support high-volume operational processing.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence across technical and operational teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to use metrics and insights to drive decisions, improve performance, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
