Job Description

Plans, organizes, and directs the staff and activities to ensure the integrity and security of the Health System's software applications, systems, and documentation. Ensures HIPAA compliance across enterprise and departmental applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Leads an Information Security team by developing staff, building consensus, and supporting programs and goals related to the business, function, or geographic area. Plans and directs security design within new and existing computing environments.
• Develops and communicates a short-term strategic vision for security. Manages the lifecycle maintenance of application and system security guidelines.
• Interprets legislation related to data protection and develops compliance strategies.
• Oversees IT risk assessments, reviews security architectures, identifies vulnerabilities, and implements solutions.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance of applicable applications.
• Develops and manages the Security Awareness Program.
• Recommends security enhancements and upgrades.
• Manages and evaluates team members, ensuring timely performance appraisals.
• Develops and enforces security protocols for application configuration.
• Maintains standards and provides remediation recommendations.
• Assists in business continuity planning, including disaster recovery testing and resource allocation.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 8-12 years of relevant experience, with 7+ years in leadership/management roles.

Highly Preferred:

• Epic Certification (security modules)
• Experience leading large teams, Epic implementations, and Go-Lives
• Open to hybrid work arrangements
