Veolia Water Tech is seeking a Director of Indirect Procurement for the North America region to lead a Category Management team overseeing +$350M across MRO, Facilities, Maintenance, and CAPEX. The role partners with Global Category Managers, stakeholders, and business leaders to deploy regional strategies and drive cost-out initiatives.

• 5 years of experience leading procurement teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Category Management Team for Capex, Facilities, Services, Maintenance, and Operations.
• Lead Indirect Procurement for North America and collaborate with senior regional leadership.
• Hire, develop and monitor performance of direct reports.
• Develop strategic sourcing for top spend areas and optimize supplier utilization.
• Drive spend management actions and budget integration to influence purchasing behavior.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for NAM in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Perform market research to build expertise in core categories such as CAPEX, MRO, Facility Services, Energy.
• Provide direction to other categories under Global Category Management and align with regional priorities.

Job Description

Veolia Water Tech is seeking a Director of Indirect Procurement for its North America Region to lead a team of Category Managers responsible to oversee +$350M of spend across various categories, including but not limited to MRO, Facilities, Maintenance, CAPEX, etc. In partnership with the Global Category Managers, the Functional Stakeholders and business partners, the Director of Indirect Procurement Noram will drive enterprise-wide cost out and cash optimization initiatives for the company while building long term sustainable category strategies as well as supplier initiatives. This role will influence and collaborate with senior management, P&L leadership, regional leadership and supply base to develop and deploy a holistic, regional strategy for indirect Spend aligned with Global Procurement Strategy. This role will report directly to the VP of Global Indirect Procurement and as we are working to shape and implement a Global Indirect Procurement function, the Director of Indirect Procurement Noram will play an instrumental role in this process, helping shape the regional organization adapted to support our ambition to increase the strategic impact of the procurement and support Water Tech growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Directs and manages the Category Management Team responsible for Capex, Facilities, Services, Maintenance and Operations.
• Leads the Indirect Procurement function for North America, serving as key point of contact for senior management in the region.
• Hire, develop and monitor performance of her/his direct reports.
• Develop Strategic Sourcing Mindset, specifically for the relevant category strategies for the top spend areas with emphasis on preferred supplier utilization, vendor rationalization, in source vs outsource whilst driving focus in improving service levels with suppliers.
• Support \"Spend Smarter\"actions aimed at demand management, leveraging proactive budgetary integration to influence purchasing behavior via needs assessment.
• Developing and executing the Sourcing Strategies for VWTS NAM, in close collaboration with the functional stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met.
• Market research and analysis in order to develop expertise in core categories including CAPEX, MRO, Facility Services, Energy, Material Handling Equipment, Fleet, etc.
• Provide direction to other categories under Global Category Management scope, such as IT and Corporate services to align with the business priorities of the region.
• Perform data analysis and utilize financial acumen to identify opportunities to leverage, scale and drive best value proposition vendor selection.
• Manage contracts negotiation in order to get the most favorable pricing and contract terms and conditions for the company
• Implement supplier relationship management processes, including leading business reviews to monitor and manage supplier performance and KPIs
• Take lead as project manager to execute regional sourcing strategies with cross functional teams.
• Build working relationships with internal stakeholders (Finance, Operations, R&D, HR, Legal, Real Estate, etc) in order to understand and define strategies according to their functional needs.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or similar field. Candidate with a master's degree and/or certification like CPM/CPSM, PMP, etc. will have added advantage
• Ten (10) years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Supply Chain with knowledge of Category Management, Contract Management and strategy deployment.
• Five (5) years of experience managing indirect procurement for Manufacturing Operations, including MRO, Facilities, Maintenance, CAPEX, etc.
• She/he has managed annual spend above 150Musd
• Five (5) years of experience managing and leading teams in procurement.

Preferred:

• Experience working with different cultures and environments, in a matrix organization.
