Job summary

Sunrise Preschools is hiring for a Director-in-Training to become a School Director through a hands-on 3-month program with on-site boot camp opportunities. You’ll gain experience in hiring, budgeting, marketing, and curriculum leadership while preparing for a permanent leadership role within the Sunrise family.

The role emphasizes hands-on management, team development, and strong partnerships with families, staff, and the broader community.

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education or related leadership roles is required or strongly preferred.
• CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Certified or licensed as required by your state.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, training, and support for staff while ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Oversee budgeting, marketing efforts, and curriculum implementation across centers.
• Supervise and inspire the team, manage schedules, and handle substitutes as needed.
• Build strong connections with families and staff, fostering a welcoming community.
• Conduct tours for prospective families and ensure the school environment is safe and engaging.
• Complete administrative tasks such as billing and records with attention to detail.

Requirements

Who We're Looking For:

• A leader with 1--3 years of experience in early childhood education or a similar leadership role
• Someone with a CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Certified or licensed as required by your state -- you know the drill!
• A communication champ with a heart for kids, families, and staff
• A multitasking master who can juggle schedules, tasks, and surprises with grace
• Flexible, hands-on, and ready to jump in wherever needed
