Job summary

Janssen Global Services, LLC, part of Johnson & Johnson, in Horsham, Pennsylvania, seeks a Director, Strategic Market Assessment, Immunology to identify and value new opportunities within the Immunology portfolio and lead cross-functional due diligence.

The role partners with Disease Area Strongholds leaders, Janssen R&D and Business Development, requires strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and the ability to influence senior management in a global matrixed environment. Travel ~20%.

Qualifications

• A minimum of BS/ BA degree is required.
• an MBA or other relevant post graduate degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years progressive and diverse pharmaceutical experience or if within J&J, 7 years of experience in either pharmaceutical or medical device, with expertise in competitive analysis, finance, forecasting, analytics, marketing or business development.
• Prior immunology experience and previous business development or marketing experience is strongly preferred.
• An understanding of full pharmaceutical value chain and proven cross functional leadership success is required.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial/clinical markets is preferred.
• This individual must have core competencies in integrating competitive intelligence, forecasting, valuations and financial acumen to develop transparent and comprehensive business cases.
• Prior experience and a proven track record of success in ambiguous and complex environments are required.
• The ability to partner and influence without authority with leaders at all levels globally and locally is required.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
• Strong leadership and an ability to deliver in an ethical manner consistent with the Johnson & Johnson Credo are required.
• Demonstrated ability to develop deep insights, uncover unmet needs, drive innovation, collaborate and lead within a global matrixed team is required.
• Experience with business development deal constructs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, value and champion new Immunology business opportunities.
• Partner with DAS leaders, Janssen R&D, and Business Development to screen opportunities.
• Lead cross company/cross functional due diligence and develop business cases.
• Maintain external marketplace knowledge and relationships with stakeholders.
• Coordinate ongoing new business development efforts in support of Immunology priorities.
• Communicate positions to management and influence senior leadership.
