Job summary

Envision Freedom Fund seeks an Advocacy & Policy Director to advance its mission of abolishing immigration bonds and wealth-based detention. This role leads an advocacy program, shapes campaigns, and collaborates with partners to extend impact.

The candidate will steer policy analysis, coalition-building, and media outreach, while supervising staff and engaging with community allies to drive reforms.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in policy/advocacy related to criminal legal and immigration systems
• New York State legislative process familiarity
• Experience with immigration bond reform efforts
• Experience with immigration law

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of an advocacy program focused on immigration reform and bond payment services
• Design and drive campaign strategies, timelines, and execution to meet mission and goals
• Manage coalitions, partnerships, and media relations; draft press materials
• Represent Envision Freedom Fund in coalitions and public forums
• Oversee organizational leadership activities and strategic planning with senior staff
• Recruit and supervise staff and volunteers; communicate clearly with external stakeholders
• Produce educational materials and policy memoranda related to immigration policy
• Cultivate relationships with allied organizations and policymakers to advance goals
