Director of Imaging Services
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Oncology and Imaging Services, the Imaging Services Director is responsible for managing and directing all areas of Imaging Services as shown on the Imaging organizational chart.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage all Imaging service areas, including leadership, supervision, and evaluation of all staff.
- Provide general planning, management, and development of all Imaging related services.
- Coordinate service areas with other sections of the Health System to meet the needs of patients, staff, and hospital for inpatient and outpatient imaging services across the health campus.
- Collaborate with Radiologists, Physicians and Clinics to resolve problems and plan improvements to the service/department.
- Oversee system initiatives, including Rural Hospitals and Clinics, and collaborate with the School of Radiology.
- Participate on committees as necessary (e.g., Radiation Safety Committee, Radiology Section Committee, Specialty Councils).
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Preferred: Graduate degree with emphasis on health or business administration.
- Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) licensure in the state of practice.
- Five years management experience in a large healthcare organization.
- Preferred: Management background with imaging experience and/or Radiation Safety training.
- Good computer knowledge; knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse community constituencies.
- Ability to exemplify Mercy Service Standards while supervising and directing patient care.
