Job summary

Nexstar Media in Austin, TX seeks a Technical Director to coordinate technical operators during news broadcasts and other live and recorded productions.

You will work with engineering and production teams to deliver clean, high-energy newscasts, overseeing live switching, graphics, audio, playback and camera operation in an automated control room, and testing equipment to ensure proper operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Fluent English is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Minimum two years of experience in news operations and production.

Responsibilities

Requirements & Skills:

• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
• Proficiency with broadcast control equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
