Job summary

Spectrum, a major telecommunications provider, seeks an senior HR leader to drive policies across recruitment, employee relations and equal opportunity, ensuring compliance and alignment with goals. Lead advisory support to leadership in a fast-moving, dispersed workforce.

The role requires 8-10+ years in HR, 5+ years in management, and thorough knowledge of employment laws, payroll, HRIS and strategic workforce planning. Travel is required; office-based in Stamford, CT.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or organizational behavior or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10+ years of human resource generalist experience in single or multi-location environments.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workforce relations and policy enforcement.
  • Experience with payroll processing, regulatory compliance and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee employee relations, ensuring Spectrum policies are consistently administered
  • Guide managers and supervisors with consultative support and resolve escalated employee issues
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal employment laws to minimize risk
  • Direct recruiting and staffing processes, designing employee retention strategies and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage organizational change and participate in enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Oversee payroll processing, commission reporting and maintenance of HRIS database
  • Hire, train and develop direct reports while managing departmental expenses and budget planning
