Job summary

Laradon in Denver seeks a strategic HR Director to lead all HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, training, compliance, and safety. You will partner with executive leadership to advance workforce development, engagement, retention, and organizational culture while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, 7+ years HR experience with 3+ in leadership, and proven ability to manage HRIS,

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive human resources experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee HR operations and initiatives with leadership oversight.
  • Partner with organizational leadership to support strategic planning and workforce development.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Supervise and support HR staff through coaching, development, and performance management.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits administration, leave management, and HRIS processes.
  • Provide guidance to managers regarding employee relations, investigations, and performance concerns.
  • Partner with leadership to support culture, staff development, and succession planning.
  • Monitor HR metrics and trends to support data-informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate training and professional development initiatives for staff and leadership.
  • Collaborates with safety and operational teams to support workplace safety and compliance.
  • Participates in organizational planning, annual operating plans, and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and organizational information.

Position Title: Human Resources Director
Department: Human Resources
Reporting Function: Executive Director
Supervisory Functions: HR Business Partners, HR Operations Specialist
Salary Range: $105,000 - $135,000 annually

Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing and administering the organization's human resources functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, training and development, HR compliance, organizational development, safety initiatives, and HR operations. Provides strategic and operational HR leadership to support organizational goals, employee engagement, retention, and compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership and oversight for all human resources operations and initiatives.
  • Partners with organizational leadership to support strategic planning, workforce development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Oversees recruitment, onboarding, retention, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding processes.

Additional Job Functions:
  • Conduct HR research studies and prepare reports as needed.
  • Assist with employee investigations and workplace concerns.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, trainings, and community events as appropriate.
  • Support the development and implementation of organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and operational plans.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Training Requirements:
  • Attend all trainings deemed mandatory by Laradon.
  • Maintain current knowledge of HR trends, employment law updates, and HR best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development related to human resources leadership.
Minimum Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive human resources experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, employee relations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, benefits administration, and performance management processes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of leadership.
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.

Physical Requirements: Physical requirements include the ability to occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force and perform activities including walking, standing, sitting, reaching, bending, speaking, hearing, and using computers and office equipment.
