Job summary

Covenant Health in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Director of Human Resources Information Systems to lead and optimize the organization’s HR technology stack. This full-time, in-person role requires relocation to Knoxville and partners with HR, IT, and Finance to deliver scalable, compliant HR solutions.

The role oversees data integrity, analytics, dashboards, and system projects across core HR, payroll, benefits, and talent modules, while guiding a collaborative HRIS team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HRIS or related systems experience.
• Experience leading system projects, teams and vendor relationships.
• Experience with HR modules: core HR, payroll, benefits, talent, performance, learning, timekeeping, reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration, governance, and continuous improvement of HRIS platforms.
• Partner with HR and leaders to identify needs and deliver technology solutions.
• Oversee HR data integrity, security, access controls, and reporting standards.
• Develop HR dashboards and analytics to support data-driven decisions.
• Lead HRIS projects, implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
• Serve as liaison between HR, IT, Payroll, Finance, vendors and stakeholders.
• Design governance, workflows, and SLAs for HRIS support.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, roadmaps, and releases.
• Provide leadership and development for the HRIS team.
• Support priorities like recruitment, retention, and workforce planning.
