Job summary

NBCUniversal, Hartford-based, is seeking a Director of Human Resources for WVIT to provide strategic HR leadership for the Connecticut market. The role partners with station leadership to drive staffing, performance, compensation, succession planning, training and employee relations across multiple local stations.

Hybrid schedule with in-office collaboration, employee development, and strong labor relations experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 7+ years of professional HR experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR processes across WVIT stations: staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication.
• Create and execute a comprehensive employee relations strategy.
• Partner with business leaders on growth strategies and labor challenges; provide HR guidance and execute decisions.
• Develop career paths, identify training opportunities and advancement for employees.
• Work with Labor Relations on collective bargaining issues and union relationships.
