Grand Canyon Education, Inc. is seeking an experienced HRIS leader to drive the strategic direction of HRIS initiatives and manage a team of HRIS professionals.

The role focuses on optimizing Workday HCM configurations, ensuring data integrity, and delivering accurate reporting for stakeholders. Responsibilities include leading HRIS projects, coordinating with IT and vendors, and maintaining SOX-compliant procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or technology-related discipline preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive HRIS experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on design/configuration experience in Workday HCM (Compensation, Absence, Timekeeping, Talent, Benefits).
  • 10+ years of people management/leadership experience.
  • Project experience on one or more HR ERP implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning and prioritization of HRIS requests and projects to meet department and organization goals.
  • Maintain data integrity and provide reporting information to stakeholders on an ad hoc basis.
  • Lead, manage, and performance manage a team of HRIS professionals.
  • Lead projects pertaining to the HRIS system, including maintenance, updates and implementing additional functionality.
  • Ensure security of HR information through established security protocol.
  • Liaise with IT and vendors to ensure accurate data feeds and transmissions.
  • Maintain system procedures to meet SOX compliance.
  • Establish systematic reporting calendar to meet required reports.
  • Prepare or assist with complex data reports, summaries, and employee-based data.
  • Provide regular system audits to ensure data integrity.

Job description

Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions
  • Strategic planning and prioritization of HRIS requests and projects to meet department and organization goals and business objectives
  • Maintain data integrity and provide reporting information to a variety of stakeholders both internal and external on an ad hoc basis
  • Lead, manage, and performance manage a team of HRIS professionals
  • Lead projects which pertain to the HRIS system, such as maintenance, updates, implementing additional functionality and optimizing the current systems
  • Assure security of HR information through established security protocol
  • Serve as liaison with IT and other system vendors to ensure feed and data transmissions are accurate
  • Maintain system procedures and practices to meet SOX compliance
  • Establish systematic reporting calendar to ensure meeting all required reports
  • Compile or assist with acquisition of complex data reports, summaries and employee-based data as needed
  • Provide audit of system on regular basis to ensure data integrity
  • Other duties as assigned
Equipment Used and Responsibility
  • Demonstrated skilled knowledge in HRMS database design, structure, and processes
  • Strong understanding of the logic applied in database design to extract data for reports, audit information, recognize and correct errors, etc.
  • Possess business acumen to be able to match requirements against system capabilities to provide quality deliverables
  • Detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong technical aptitude and comfort level accessing and navigating HR software
  • Advanced skills in Excel and MS office for preparation and presentation of reports
  • Ability to work in high volume, pressure environment
  • Self-starter with good organizational, time management, analytical and troubleshooting
  • Solutions oriented, good decision-making skills
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise team of HRIS professionals

Experience/ Education
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or technology-related discipline, preferred
  • 12 plus years' progressive HRIS experience required
  • 5 plus years' demonstrated experience in the design and hands on configuration of Workday HCM, including Compensation, Absence, Timekeeping, Talent, and Benefits modules, implementations, integrations, and complex reporting
  • 10 plus years' experience as a people manager/leader
  • Project experience in a technical or techno-functional role on one or more HR ERP implementations
