Are you a strategic HR thinker with a tactical flair and a passion for people? In this role, you'll manage and coordinate the company's HR functions across sub-functions such as recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, and employee relations to meet business needs. You will partner with key leaders in the region for crucial people decisions and advice.

As part of the Sibelco HR Team, the Director, HR will report to the VP HR Americas.

Your Impact in This Role

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Leading the execution of HR strategy, policies, and practices within the sub-region to support long-term business needs.
• Ensuring HR teams understand and implement HR policies and processes effectively.
• Partnering with regional VPs and teams on people-related matters and providing coaching support.
• Developing guidelines and procedures for HR initiatives like training, salary structures, performance management, talent management, and compensation plans for managers and directors.
• Attracting, leading, coaching, and developing the HR team, including workforce and succession planning.
• Identifying opportunities for HR process optimization and collaborating with Global Centers of Excellence for improvements.
• Ensuring compliance with labor laws and providing legal advice to managers.
• Maintaining accurate HR data for reporting and analytics.
• Rolling out HR processes within the region.

What You Bring To The Table

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HRM, or Psychology.
• At least 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in the mineral or related industry.
• Knowledge of Workday (WD) is a strong plus.
• Strong change management skills.
• Excellence in people management with a diplomatic approach.
• Excellent communication skills; proficiency in English (verbal and written); additional languages are an asset.
