Director, Human Resources and Culture

As the Director, HR and Culture at TransLoop, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organizational culture, fostering employee engagement, and driving talent acquisition and development strategies. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for building and leading a high‑performing HR team while championing initiatives that align with our company's mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's overall objectives and promote a positive work environment. This includes talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and employee development.
  • Drive culture initiatives and act as a steward of the company culture, ensuring that our values are embedded in all aspects of the organization. Foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to onboarding new hires. Develop innovative strategies to attract top talent in the logistics industry and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new employees.
  • Lead the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and professional development planning. Provide guidance and support to managers on performance‑related issues and ensure fairness and transparency in the process.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and confidential manner, promoting a culture of open communication and trust.
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees. Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Establish key HR metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives and drive data‑driven decision‑making. Prepare regular reports for senior leadership on HR metrics, trends, and insights.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5‑7 years of progressive experience in HR leadership roles, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high‑performing HR teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive organizational culture and drive employee engagement.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in HR analytics.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM‑CP, PHR) preferred.
