Job Description

The Director, HEOR Strategy, US Access Evidence Strategy and Execution is responsible for developing and executing the Immunology Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) value & evidence strategy and frameworks, including capabilities to support drug price negotiation efforts (DPNP) between AbbVie and CMS for the Immunology portfolio. This role reports to the Director, HEOR Strategy, Pan Immunology and Access Evidence Excellence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate with IRA Navigation and Possibilities (NAP) Leads, Government Affairs, other Pan IMM team leads, HEOR IMM leadership to evaluate immunology evidence strategies.
  2. Educate and embed IRA operational readiness into the IMM HEOR team to accelerate and optimize IRA engagement outcomes.
  3. Provide thought leadership to immunology R&D, MHI, and PCS leadership, ensuring understanding of IRA impacts on immunology access evidence strategy through coordination with Government Affairs.
  4. Oversee the design and conduct of projects, effectively communicating findings and strategic impacts to internal and external audiences.
  5. Ensure project plans align with IMM access strategic plans from matrix teams and commercial interests, providing updates on execution and sharing decisions.
  6. Manage end-to-end delivery of HEOR projects, from strategy development to content implementation.
  7. Foster strong partnerships with relevant HEOR COE functions to ensure comprehensive HEOR input in cross-functional meetings.
  8. Engage with senior leaders across functions with executive presence and influence.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in health economics or related discipline.
  • Minimum of seven years' experience with a Master’s or five years with a PhD, including fellowship experience. Experience in US private/public payer settings preferred.
  • Proven leadership in a global, cross-functional environment, with the ability to support global business strategies.
  • Ability to navigate uncharted territory and complex governmental regulations, providing compliant and effective solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to manage project conflicts, resource constraints, and other challenges.
  • High goal orientation, focusing on solutions amidst the challenges of drug development and market support.
  • Extensive knowledge of global regulatory, HTA, and P&R landscapes, and understanding of drug development phases.
  • Skills to lead cross-functional teams and manage scientific personnel, with the ability to interact with senior management and act as a HEOR champion.
