Job summary

Gilead Sciences Inc. is seeking an experienced HEOR professional to join our Global Value and Access team.

In this hybrid role, you will develop and strengthen HEOR studies, support product value propositions, and coordinate with clinical development, medical affairs and market access to optimize payer uptake. The role requires an advanced HEOR degree and 8+ years in pharma or managed care, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in pharma or managed care with HEOR experience.
• Experience designing and executing HEOR studies and models.
• Experience developing global value dossiers.
• Understanding US/global healthcare systems and reimbursement processes/decision making.
• Strong oral and written communication; interpersonal skills.
• Experience in viral hepatitis and/or PBC US managed care is a plus.

This will be a site base role at our global headquarters in Foster City, CA or our facility in Parsippany, NJ. We do offer a hybrid environment with three core collaboration days in the office (Tues-Thurs) and optional work from home days on Monday and Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Value and Access liver, inflammation, and emerging viruses (LIVE), GHEOR the Director role will:

• Advocate and demonstrate subject matter expertise to support and strengthen commercialization activities including cross-functional alignment and collaboration with clinical development, marketing, medical affairs and market access
• Partner closely with cross-functional business partners to develop and support product value proposition to optimize access, reimbursement and uptake
• Identify global HEOR evidence requirements and gaps; design, conduct and deliver studies, models and tools to support value demonstration and product differentiation for assigned indication
• Contribute to HEOR input into clinical development programs
• Partner with HEOR COE to support development of PRO strategies
• Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry regulatory issues and research relationships with HEOR KOLs
• Disseminate HEOR data and study results

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

We're seeking an analytical independent contributor with:

• At least 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or managed care, including direct experience in HEOR
• Understanding of HEOR assessments and technical expertise in design and execution of HEOR studies and models
• Experience in developing global value dossiers
• Understanding of US/global healthcare systems and reimbursement processes/decision making
• Good oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Experience in viral hepatitis and/or PBC US managed care is a plus
• Advanced degree in HEOR

The salary range for this position is:
Bay Area: $226,185.00 - $292,710.00. Other US Locations: $205,615.00 - $266,090.00.

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
