Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks a Director, Risk Management in Orlando to act as strategic advisor on healthcare risk practices and regulatory compliance. You will analyze organizational risk trends, lead investigations, develop mitigation strategies, educate staff, and promote a culture of safety and accountability.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate (e.g., Ph.D., M.D., J.D.), JD and/or clinical degree required
• More that 3 years of experience
• Experience in Healthcare Risk Management or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Legal and Risk Management to organize, analyze, and document data to identify opportunities for intervention and education.
• Acts as a risk management resource, internal consultant, and educator for associates in Florida.
• Researches and provides guidance on state and federal regulatory standards related to risk management.
• Participates, facilitates or leads teams to achieve performance improvement within the organization.
• Compiles and analyzes data and provides routine risk data to Nemours Legal/Risk Management and other departments in Florida.
• Drafts and delivers reports and presentations outlining findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Collaborates with Legal/Risk Management on uniform risk assessment models and methodologies.
• Participates in system-wide risk management initiatives as assigned.
