Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) seeks a Director of Government Relations to maintain and enhance the organization’s image through strategic engagement with state legislatures and regulatory agencies in Montana and the West Region. This hybrid role requires in-office presence three days a week and close collaboration with Legal and Compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years working with legislative bodies/regulatory agencies at state/federal level.
• Experience leading people/projects; ability to influence decisions impacting the organization.
• Knowledge of legislative/regulatory processes and health policy issues related to government programs and commercial insurance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate government relations with key decision-makers and public for MT Legislature.
• Ensure regulatory bodies’ needs are met in coordination with Legal and Compliance.
• Develop events to highlight BCBSMT’s leadership as a corporate citizen.
• Maintain liaison with State Legislatures, Governor’s offices, and other advocacy groups.
