Job summary

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. is seeking a Director of Hardware Engineering in Austin, TX to lead a high-performance hardware organization.

You will drive people leadership, develop talent, and ensure successful delivery across multiple product programs while aligning with cross-functional teams around standards and system-level decisions. You will build and scale teams, recruit talent for the Austin Hardware Office, and champion changes to improve design rigor, manufacturability, and execution

Qualifications

Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in a science, engineering, or mathematics field.
Minimum GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned.
20+ years of engineering experience in product development.
10+ years of experience managing 50+ engineers (direct and indirect).
Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship by Lutron.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of hardware engineers across multiple experience levels and functions.
Own delivery of hardware engineering scope across multiple projects, ensuring cost, quality, and schedule commitments.
Scale the organization through hiring and capability development.
Collaborate with cross-functional leadership and stakeholders to drive product development and maintenance.
