The Director will be part of the Growth Team and concentrate on building embedded finance / fintech businesses, and will partner with Senior Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents from the Growth Team to work closely with management teams at Serent portfolio companies to drive value creation and accelerate top-line growth.

Successful candidates are highly motivated self-starters, team players, and can partner with and influence a diverse group of stakeholders (e.g., Board Members, CEO, CXO, Partners, etc.).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Work with company CEOs, management teams, board members, and other Growth Team members to jointly identify and deliver fintech solutions that achieve portfolio company and investor objectives.
  2. Lead cross-functional project teams (e.g., product, development, operations, marketing, sales, and finance) to deliver new embedded finance products to market.
  3. Partner with Growth Team colleagues on embedded finance pricing and go-to-market strategy and execution, ensuring coordinated execution with other initiatives.
  4. Conduct due diligence – market research, data analysis, and financial modeling – on embedded finance opportunities within target companies, coming to a view on the value and execution plan for initiatives.
  5. Scope, design, and pragmatically lead payment issuance, acceptance, and other embedded finance strategies and initiatives for portfolio companies.
  6. Negotiate solution partnerships with third parties across the embedded finance ecosystem that will power many of our embedded finance plays within our portfolio companies.
  7. Stay abreast of new technologies, partners, and offerings within the embedded finance ecosystem, incorporating new opportunities into portfolio company embedded finance strategies and execution.

The successful Director will be entrepreneurial, capable of product and project managing multiple initiatives, powered by partnerships, working with cross-functional teams to bring these offerings to market or “turbocharging” existing products through improved features and functionality. They will be an intellectually curious, open-minded, and well-rounded leader with exceptional interpersonal, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
