Job summary

Solar One in New York City seeks a Manager of Green Workforce Training to lead the design and delivery of workforce development programs onsite at the Long Island City office and at partner sites. Reporting to the Sr. Director, this role drives strategy and execution of current and future programming.

You will supervise instructors, manage budgets, track metrics, ensure safety, and collaborate on curriculum needs with leadership to align with the clean energy sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred in education or related fields.
• 3–5 years of program management experience, preferably in education or clean energy.
• 5 years in STEM, climate action, or environmental sustainability; classroom experience preferred.
• Experience in workforce development with underserved communities.
• Curriculum development experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, and implement workforce programming onsite and at partner locations.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and operations of the Green Workforce program.
• Manage budgets, procure supplies, and track expenses and metrics.
• Supervise instructors and mentor staff; conduct performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on program strategy and reporting.
