Job summary

Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston Inc. seeks a Director, The Miriam Fund to lead TMF’s annual grant cycle and manage a volunteer network of about 130 women.

You will oversee grant administration, fundraising, stewardship, and reporting, while collaborating with development and Women’s Philanthropy teams. You will also guide volunteer engagement, governance, and strategic planning, ensuring strong donor relations and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree and significant executive-level management experience.
• Experience developing and implementing strategies and managing grants.
• Prior experience managing committees, boards, and direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Manages The Miriam Fund, including all aspects of this membership organization of ~130 women, including recruitment, dues payments, and engagement.
• Prepares and manages TMF budget and oversees the quasi-endowment.
• Leads the grant review process and sets strategic direction for the grantmaking cycle.
• Oversees marketing efforts: website updates, newsletters, social media, grants media releases, and annual report.
• Collaborates with TMF co-chairs and CJP leadership to align programming with donor strategies.
• Supports leadership development opportunities and volunteer roles through TMF and related initiatives.
