Job summary

Wilberforce University seeks a Director of Sponsored Programs who will manage pre-award and post-award services for grants and contracts, guide proposals to external funders, and support faculty in securing external support.

The role interprets federal regulations, develops campus policies for researchers, and provides leadership to ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and university procedures.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate area; or Bachelor's with sponsorship experience.
• 2–5 years of sponsorship programs management/research administration at a college or university.
• Experience with audit processes and Federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage proposal development activities of the Office of Sponsored Programs.
• Develop, recommend, administer, and communicate policies and procedures related to research and sponsored programs.
• Coordinate workshops, presentations, and consultative services related to Sponsored Programs.
• Work with the Office of Business and Finance to ensure that all sponsored grant activities are reconciled on a timely basis.
