Williams College seeks a Director of Sponsored Research and Foundation Relations to lead the Grants Office, supporting pre- and post-award activities and expanding external funding for faculty research.

The role partners with the Dean of Faculty, Development, and senior staff to identify priorities, set fundraising goals, and cultivate foundation and corporate support. Hybrid work options may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; CRA and/or M.R.A. preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of highly relevant professional experience.
• Strong fundraising techniques, proposal development, and budgeting analysis.
• Superior writing and editing skills; effective written and oral communication.

Responsabilités

• Oversee pre-award faculty grant support: funding sources, strategies, applications, budgets.
• Oversee post-award support: negotiating terms, accepting awards, managing sub-awards.
• Collaborate with Dean, Development, and Senior Staff to identify priorities and foundation funding.
• Set annual fundraising goals and calendars; develop grant proposals and respond to funder RFPS.
• Write reports for institutional funders and liaison with grantors.
• Design outreach to foster campus grant culture and engage academic life.
• Supervise Associate Director and Grants Office Coordinator.
