Job summary

Williams College seeks a Director of Sponsored Research and Foundation Relations to lead the Grants Office, support faculty in obtaining external funding, and broaden the college's grant portfolio. The role oversees the full grant lifecycle, from pre-award review to post-award administration, including sub-awards and compliance.

The Director collaborates with Dean of Faculty, Development, and Senior Staff to identify priorities, craft proposals, and steward relationships with funders, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; CRA and/or Master’s in Research Administration preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required; fundraising experience valued.
• Strong writing, editing, and budget analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre-award faculty grant support, review applications and budgets.
• Oversee post-award support, negotiate terms and manage sub-awards.
• Develop foundation fundraising strategies and grant proposals.
• Supervise the Associate Director and Grants Office Coordinator.
