Job summary

Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board is seeking the Director of Grant Partnerships to lead a portfolio of philanthropic grants and contracts, aligning with strategic priorities and ensuring outcomes.

The role oversees the full grant lifecycle, budgets, contracts, and payments, supervises the Grants Partnership Coordinator, and ensures compliance and timely execution across grant activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience supporting or managing grant-funded programs, contracts, or other externally funded initiatives.
• Experience managing budgets, financial processes, or related administrative functions.
• Experience supervising staff or leading teams; developing or improving processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the grant and contract portfolio, ensuring compliance, timely implementation, monitoring, and successful closeout.
• Oversee the transition of grants from pre-award to post-award administration in partnership with program leadership.
• Lead kickoff meetings, check-ins, and ensure stakeholders have context and direction for successful execution.
• Monitor grant implementation, timelines, deliverables, and compliance; escalate risks and recommend actions.
• Supervise the Grants Partnership Coordinator with direction, coaching, and workload prioritization.
• Develop and maintain grant management documentation, including budgets, reporting, and tracking tools.
• Maintain grant records and reporting; continuously improve grant administration processes and systems.
