Job summary

Samsung Semiconductor seeks a seasoned Director of GPU Compilers to lead a software team delivering compiler back-end for Samsung GPUs embedded in SOCs. You will guide annual hardware-support planning, optimize back-end pipelines, and drive performance, reliability, and correctness across compiler stacks.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with architecture and product teams, review progress, and present objectives to senior leadership.

Qualifications

15+ years of experience leading software engineers in system-level software.
Deep understanding of compiler back-end technology and multiple compilation systems.
Experience with C++/Python, JIT compilers, and shader languages.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership by researching compiler advances and translating them into backend improvements.
Oversee register allocation, instruction scheduling, and graphics-specific optimizations.
Lead annual planning for next-generation hardware support with cross-functional teams.
Present objectives and progress to senior leadership.
Mentor engineers and drive professional development.
