The role you’ll contribute:

The Director, GPO Affiliate Program is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the Affiliate Program within the Supply Chain Management department. This role involves establishing, planning, developing, and setting strategic direction for the program, liaising with key stakeholders (Distributor, GPO, affiliate, etc.), marketing/selling the program, participating in improvement projects, and analyzing savings opportunities and contract penetration prospects. The Director also makes sales calls and visits key customers to ensure their needs are met.

  • Establishes vision and policy for the GPO Affiliate program operations.
  • Recruits, develops, and retains talent; manages goal setting, performance reviews, employee relations, training, and career development.
  • Manages daily operations ensuring goals are met.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers and colleagues for program growth and continuous improvement.
  • Maintains customer relationships through communication, business reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Analyzes data to identify savings and penetration opportunities, executing plans to achieve goals.
  • Conducts market basket analysis for potential customers, demonstrating benefits of membership.
  • Markets and sells the program and its benefits to prospective customers and suppliers.
  • Maintains customer information related to sales calls, business reviews, and program penetration.
  • Manages supplier relationships to support customers, grow business, and resolve issues.
  • Oversees activities related to the accuracy and performance of the GPO program, including sales validation and revenue recovery actions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing staff.
  • Ability to create a vision, share direction, and execute plans successfully.
  • Proven management of staff and programs, leading teams to goals.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Successful track record in building business relationships through customer service.
  • Understanding of healthcare materials management, GPO and supplier relationships, contracts, sales, and marketing.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and present data as actionable information.
  • Proficiency in marketing ideas or products.
  • Understanding of the non-acute healthcare market's structure, culture, and needs.
  • Thorough knowledge of GPO contract creation, access, maintenance, and tracing by manufacturers to healthcare systems.
