Kohler Co. is seeking a Director, Global Treasury to lead global liquidity, forecasting, banking relationships, and capital structure. This onsite role requires 10+ years in treasury/corporate finance and a track record of driving modernization and strong governance across a multinational manufacturing environment.

The role partners with Finance, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and Global Shared Services to strengthen treasury capabilities enterprise-wide. Sponsorship may be required in some cases.

Qualifications

Director, Global Treasury

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Onsite, four days per week -Kohler, WI

Opportunity

The Director, Global Treasury is responsible for leading Kohler Co.'s global treasury activities, including liquidity management, cash forecasting, banking relationships, capital structure support, treasury operations, financial risk oversight, and treasury governance.

This role serves as a partner to senior finance leadership, ensuring the Company maintains strong liquidity, disciplined financial risk management, and efficient access to capital while supporting operational and long-term business objectives. The Director balances strategic leadership with hands-on execution, driving treasury modernization, process optimization, and organizational capability building.

The Director will develop and execute treasury strategies within established governance frameworks and Authorized Decision Agent guidelines while providing thought leadership across Finance, Tax, Accounting, Legal, FP&A, Global Shared Services, and business finance organizations. The role also leads the development of a high-performing treasury team and strengthens treasury capabilities across the enterprise.

Specific Responsibilities

Liquidity Management & Cash Strategy

• Lead the Company's global liquidity strategy, ensuring sufficient funding for operational requirements, capital investments, and strategic initiatives.


• Own short- and medium-term cash forecasting processes across the enterprise.


• Partner with business units and finance teams to enhance forecasting accuracy and improve cash visibility.


• Oversee cash positioning, bank account governance, intercompany funding, and cash optimization initiatives.


• Identify emerging liquidity risks, cash timing considerations, and funding needs; develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

Capital Structure & Financing

• Support the CFO with disciplined analysis and recommendations related to liquidity headroom, capital structure efficiency, and financing alternatives.


• Lead execution and administration of credit facilities, debt arrangements, amendments, refinancing activities, and related banking requirements.


• Prepare decision-ready materials within established capital structure and ownership parameters.


• Support structured financing initiatives and capital planning activities as business needs evolve.

Banking & External Relationship Management

• Own and manage day-to-day relationships with global banking partners and financial institutions.


• Serve as Kohler's primary treasury point of contact with banks and external financing partners.


• Evaluate banking structures, service levels, pricing arrangements, treasury platforms, and opportunities for operational improvement.


• Partner with Legal, Tax, and Accounting on treasury-related agreements, onboarding, documentation, and execution.

Treasury Governance, Controls & Financial Risk Oversight

• Maintain and enforce treasury policies, governance standards, internal controls, and decision rights.


• Operate within established guardrails and elevate material, non-routine, or out-of-policy decisions.


• Ensure compliance with debt agreements, covenants, regulatory requirements, and internal treasury policies.


• Monitor foreign exchange, interest rate, commodity, and liquidity exposures across the enterprise.


• Provide analysis, education, and recommendations to leadership regarding financial risk impacts and potential mitigation strategies.

Treasury Operations & Transformation

• Oversee treasury operations, cash transactions, banking administration, settlement activities, and related controls.


• Partner closely with Global Shared Services on cash application, collections execution, handoffs, visibility, and controls across process boundaries.


• Lead treasury modernization efforts, including automation, digital banking initiatives, system enhancements, bank connectivity, and process standardization.


• Improve reporting, analytics, and decision-support capabilities through technology, data visibility, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Enterprise Partnership & Growth Readiness

• Serve as a trusted thought partner to FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Legal, GSS, Corporate Accounting, and business finance leaders.


• Provide treasury input into capital investments, organic growth initiatives, and strategic planning activities.


• Maintain readiness to support selective, complementary M&A activity, including liquidity assessment, banking structure, and funding considerations.


• Collaborate across regions and functions to align treasury priorities with enterprise objectives.

Team Leadership & Succession Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing treasury team aligned to Kohler's scale and operating model.


• Build organizational capability through succession planning, cross-training, development pathways, and reduced single-point dependency.


• Foster a culture of accountability, clarity, collaboration, continuous improvement, and enterprise mindset.


• Strengthen Treasury's reputation as a trusted, value-adding business partner across the organization.

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.


• 10+ years of progressive treasury, corporate finance, banking, or capital markets experience required.


• Demonstrated expertise in liquidity and cash management, credit facilities, banking structures, treasury operations, and policy-driven execution within defined decision rights required.


• Strong understanding of financial risk management, corporate finance principles, debt agreements, banking administration, and internal controls required.


• Proven people leader with experience building bench strength, developing technical capability, and leading through change required.


• Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment preferred.


• MBA, CPA, CFA, CTP, or similar professional certification preferred.


• Strong judgment, clear communication, practical execution style, and ability to produce decision-ready analysis required.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
