Shield AI is seeking a Director to shape our international strategy for autonomy, aircraft, and AI-enabled technologies. You will lead policy engagement with the U.S.

Government and allied partners to advance security objectives worldwide. You will translate complex technical capabilities into clear policy guidance, coordinate across DoD, State, NSC, and internal teams, and build trusted relationships with senior government, military, and industry stakeholders to drive international

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in national security policy, technology security, or related fields.
• Significant interagency experience with the U.S. government.
• Strong understanding of DoD and U.S. Government decision-making on international defense partnerships.
• Ability to translate complex tech into policy and national security considerations.
• Strong strategic communication skills, including senior-level briefings.
• Proven ability to work with engineers, product teams, and policymakers.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategy for international release of autonomy, aircraft, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Lead policy engagement with DoD, State, NSC staff, and allied partners.
• Translate technical capabilities into clear technology-security strategies.
• Represent Shield AI in policy discussions on international release of autonomous systems.
• Coordinate with engineering, product, and programs to align international opportunities.
