Job summary

Sigma Earth is seeking a senior sustainability leader to drive strategy, governance, and performance across global operations. You will shape the ESG program, align with Yum!’s enterprise goals, and partner with senior leadership to advance planet, people and performance pillars.

This role requires translating standards into practical guides for markets and franchise partners, guiding data collection, KPI development, and reporting, and influencing internal and external communications on

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in sustainability, ESG, or CSR in a global org.
• Experience executing sustainability strategies across complex, matrixed environments.
• Strong experience in sustainability data tracking, KPI development, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead sustainability roadmap execution aligned with enterprise goals.
• Advise leadership on ESG priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Develop governance structures, targets, and KPIs.
• Drive environmental programs to reduce emissions, energy use, waste, and packaging.
• Oversee sustainability data collection, validation and reporting with Yum! coordination.
• Translate standards into practical guides for markets and franchise partners.
• Define and manage sustainability scorecards across pillars.
• Collaborate with Communications for internal and external sustainability messaging.

Here’s How You Will Make an Impact

Strategy & Governance

• Sustainability roadmap execution: Lead the implementation of KFC’s sustainability roadmap in alignment with Yum!’s broader enterprise goals.
• ESG advisory: Advise the Global CMO and senior leadership on key ESG priorities, emerging risks, and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Targets and governance: Support the development of sustainability targets, KPIs, governance structures, and accountability frameworks.

Planet Pillar: Environmental Impact

• Environmental initiatives: Drive programs to reduce emissions, energy consumption, waste, water impact, and improve sustainable packaging across restaurants and the supply chain.
• Supplier sustainability: Partner with Global Supply Chain teams to assess supplier environmental performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Data and reporting: Oversee sustainability data collection, validation, and reporting in coordination with Yum!.

Food Pillar

• Responsible sourcing: Work with Supply Chain and Food Innovation teams to advance responsible sourcing, animal welfare, and nutrition transparency.
• Market execution: Translate Yum!’s standards and best practices into practical execution guides for markets and franchise partners.

People Pillar: Social Impact & Community

• People initiatives: Collaborate with the Yum! Sustainability Center of Excellence and functional leaders to align and implement People pillar programs across KFC.
• Purpose-led programs: Support global markets and franchisees in activating community and social impact programs that align with enterprise strategy and measurement standards.

Performance & Communications

• Sustainability scorecards: Define and manage performance scorecards across the People, Food, and Planet pillars.
• Program improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives and recommend improvements.
• Sustainability messaging: Partner with Communications teams to create internal and external sustainability messaging, leadership updates, and executive materials.

What You Bring to the Table

• Relevant experience: 8–12+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or CSR within a global organization.
• Strategy implementation: Proven ability to execute sustainability strategies across complex, matrixed business environments.
• Data and reporting: Strong experience in sustainability data tracking, KPI development, performance measurement, and reporting.
