Job description

We'rebuilding a connected, end-to-end Enterprise AI engine - uniting data foundations, AI technology, process reinvention, and business-facing AI to accelerate results across the whole value chain.Success depends on being exceptional connectors:you'llactivelyleverageexisting capabilities, celebrate and promote reuse, export breakthrough ideas across geographies and functions, and obsess over scaling impact rather than building in isolation. If you thrive in high-collaboration environments where your role is to turn complex, cross-functional problems into reusable, enterprise-wide capabilities - and where the measure of success is adoption and scale, not just innovation - you'll have the platform (and sponsorship) to make it real.

About Global Patient Solutions

Within Global Patient Solutions, you will translate deep patient insight, behavioral science, digital health, and AI-enabled technologies into evidence-based patient solutions that improve the patient’s experience and deliver measurable impact across Oncology and Biopharmaceutical indications.

As part of AstraZeneca’s connected Enterprise AI ecosystem, you will help evolve and scale our global patient engagement strategy, including complex patient solutions and Connect360, by integrating real-world data, patient-reported outcomes, behavioral signals, digital patient monitoring insights, and longitudinal engagement patterns to design timely, personalized and clinically relevant interventions at scale.

This role will play a critical part in defining where we focus, how we design and prioritize patient solutions interventions, how we measure success through clear KPIs, and how we demonstrate value for patients, markets and the enterprise.

Ultimately, you will help build a global, multi-indication, continuous-learning patient engagement engine that elevates patient experience, improves confidence and resilience, supports adherence and persistence, and sets a new benchmark for compassionate, data-driven patient care worldwide.

What you will do:

  • Build and manage the Global Patient Solutions value case roadmap, with clear prioritization of high-impact patient solution opportunities.
  • Design evidence-based patient interventions that leverage behavioral science, patient insights, digital engagement and AI-enabled personalization.
  • Develop patient experience value cases that define expected patient impact, market value, KPIs and measurement approaches.
  • Shape the future of AI-enabled patient engagement, digital patient monitoring and sustainable patient-support models.
  • Translate behavioral data, patient-reported outcomes, real-world evidence, monitoring signals and engagement insights into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure patient solutions generate measurable impact and create a consistent approach to tracking, proving and communicating value.
  • Establish how innovation becomes a scalable, repeatable enterprise capability rather than isolated pilots.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global Strategy & Value

Develop global patient experience and value frameworks that quantify the impact of patient support interventions on patients, healthcare systems and business outcomes.

Establish prioritization frameworks that guide investment decisions and focus resources on the highest-value patient challenges.

Identify emerging trends, unmet needs and innovation opportunities that can strengthen patient support ecosystems.

  • Patient Experience Innovation, Intervention Design & AI-Enabled Solutions

Translate patient insights, behavioral data, patient-reported outcomes, monitoring signals and real-world evidence into targeted patient support strategies.

Design interventions that improve education, confidence, treatment initiation, adherence, persistence, symptom management, care navigation and patient empowerment.

Develop robust value cases linking patient needs, intervention designs, expected outcomes, KPIs and evidence generation plans.

Identify where AI, digital health and patient monitoring capabilities can enhance patient engagement, personalization and support effectiveness.

Shape AI-powered patient engagement models, next-best-action capabilities and predictive patient support approaches.

Partner with Medical, Commercial, Data Science and market teams to advance digital patient monitoring and proactive support solutions.

Ensure all AI-enabled patient solutions are designed responsibly, compliantly and with a clear focus on patient benefit, usability and measurable outcomes.

  • Global Scaling, Partnerships & Impact Demonstration

Partner with Commercial, Medical, Digital Health, Patient Services, Data Science, Brand and market teams to accelerate deployment and adoption of patient solutions globally.

Support cross-market alignment and capability reuse to enable efficient scaling and consistent implementation of best practices.

Define KPIs and performance metrics to track intervention effectiveness, patient outcomes, engagement, adherence and overall program impact.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Behavioral Science, or a related Health Scientific field.
  • 5+ years’ experience working with Biopharmaceutical and/or Oncology indications.

  • Experience designing patient interventions that measurably improve experience, engagement, confidence, adherence, persistence or care quality.
  • Experience applying behavioral science, intervention design or health-behavior modelling to improve patient engagement and outcomes.
  • Hands‑on experience with digital health, omnichannel engagement, patient‑facing technologies or AI-enabled patient solutions.
  • Experience with patient monitoring, risk‑signal identification, adherence/persistence programs, patient‑reported outcomes or real‑world evidence.
  • Strategic thinker with experience in value creation, prioritization, evidence generation or global program work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience shaping or scaling AI-enabled patient engagement, personalization, analytics, monitoring or next‑best‑action solutions.
  • Proven experience using digital patient monitoring, behavioral data, patient‑reported outcomes or real‑world evidence to track and demonstrate impact.
  • Experience building strategic frameworks, value cases, KPI models or enterprise‑level prioritization approaches.
  • Understanding of global healthcare systems, access pathways, market dynamics and patient support ecosystems.
  • Ability to translate complex, cross‑functional challenges into scalable, reusable global capabilities.
