Job Description

A Brief Overview

The Director, Global IT Finance leads and manages financial planning and analysis, accounting activities for Global IT, manages IT allocation chargeback process, implements processes related to IT services, management reporting, and budgeting and charge back process. This Directorensures department alignment and coordination with all other areas of the company to achieve corporate business strategies and vision.

What you will do

  • Leads policies, processes and accounting associated with IT Finance expense management. This includes partnering with areas responsible for procurement, tracking and reporting of capitalized assets, and software license management.
  • Manage global allocations of IT expenses from service providers to service recipients. Manage processes and ownership of schedules needed to complete this function.
  • Manage Budget cycle for Global IT to ensure timely and accurate completion in accordance with corporate guidance.
  • Manage monthly and Quarterly reporting, variance analysis and Forecast process for Global IT. Implement processes to improve transparency in reporting for senior leadership.
  • Support aligning strategic planning with key stakeholders and driving change management initiatives. Collaborate with external experts to benchmark technology spend and track key financial metrics to drive sustainable cost efficiency
  • Establishes and monitors expense activity to ensure timely and accurate expense reporting which complies with applicable accounting guidelines – Regulatory, GAAP, IFRS.
  • Leads and manages work area activities including, but not limited to, team/department workflow, establishing and monitoring quality goals, reviewing work completed by direct reports, ensuring quality accounting and financial reporting practices and communication to associates and management.
  • Performs management duties including, but not limited to, hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and disciplining direct reports. Fosters a positive and engaged work environment, supporting talent attraction and retention strategies. Mentors associates and gives guidance on associate development.
  • Works with other functional areas in RGA to achieve efficient and effective accounting and reporting practices and procedures and responds to and requests from other functional areas on various inquires.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent related work experience
  • 8+ years accounting or auditing experience
  • 5+ years management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • CPA Certification
  • FLMI
  • 5+ years insurance/reinsurance accounting experience

Compensation Range:

$104,350.00 - $155,350.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
