Peloton is seeking a Director of Global Instructor Development based in New York to lead the global strategy for instructor development, casting, and the Talent Producer organization. The role oversees the NY-based Talent Producer team and collaborates with senior leadership to ensure consistent, equitable, and forward-looking development and casting standards.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership in talent development, casting, or performance coaching.
  • Experience leading global talent initiatives and scalable programs.
  • Significant experience in instructor or on-camera talent development, casting, and coaching.
  • Strong understanding of brand development, performance coaching, and talent strategy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management with executive leadership and cross-functional partners.

  • Partner with regional teams to support casting execution and onboarding of new instructors.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director, Global Instructor Development is responsible for leading Peloton’s global instructor development strategy, casting, and Talent Producer organization. Based in New York, this role establishes the vision, frameworks, and best practices that support instructor development across all markets while partnering closely with the SVP, Global Content & Instructor Strategy to ensure alignment with Peloton’s broader content and instructor strategy.

The Director leads the New York-based Talent Producer team and shapes and guides Peloton’s global instructor casting strategy, developing scalable approaches to talent identification, instructor coaching, brand development, and career progression. Working closely with the Director, Global Instructor Development & Operations, this role establishes global standards while partnering to ensure consistent execution across International markets.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
  • Partner closely with the SVP, Global Content & Instructor Strategy to define and evolve Peloton’s global instructor development strategy
  • Establish global instructor development frameworks, coaching philosophies, and best practices that support instructor growth, performance, and long-term career development across all markets
  • Identify opportunities to continuously evolve instructor performance, development programming, and brand growth
  • Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility across global casting pipelines, coaching frameworks, and instructor representation
  • Own the overarching global instructor casting architecture, establishing objective criteria to source, audition, and sign elite global fitness talent
  • Develop long-term talent pipelines by identifying, evaluating, and recruiting exceptional instructor talent
  • Establish consistent audition, evaluation, and selection criteria that reflect Peloton’s instructor standards and future business needs
  • Partner with regional Instructor Development teams to support casting execution and successful onboarding of new instructors
  • Partner with Director of Instructor Operations to execute hiring of new Instructor cast
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement structured, objective evaluation rubrics and equitable audition standards that ensure diverse representation across modalities, cultures, backgrounds, and global markets. Proactively shape future talent investments, all in partnership with the SVP & Chief Content and Member Development Officer
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the New York-based Talent Producer team
  • Drive the transition of the Talent Producer organization from class execution partners to dedicated talent development coaches focused on long-term instructor development, brand extension, and performance end-to-end
  • Establish global standards, expectations, and development opportunities for the Talent Producer team
  • Partner with the Director, Global Instructor Development & Operations - International to ensure consistent instructor coaching methodologies and Talent Producer best practices across regions
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across the global Talent Producer organization
  • Manage and evolve global coaching frameworks that support instructor performance, presentation, storytelling, and brand development
  • Partner with Programming to guide instructor individual development plans
  • Oversee instructor development resources, including media trainers, executive coaches, and external development partners. Work with operational team members to onboard vendors, utilize and support
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on instructor development, succession planning, and long-term talent growth
  • Support instructor contract renewal discussions by providing talent assessments, development insights, and long-term growth recommendations
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in talent development, casting, or performance coaching with a track record of scaling global talent initiatives and working with production
  • Demonstrated success leading high-performing creative or talent development teams
  • Significant experience in instructor or on-camera talent development, casting, and coaching
  • Strong understanding of brand development, performance coaching, and talent strategy
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build consensus with executive leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to build scalable development programs while balancing creative excellence and business objectives
  • Proven commitment to building diverse teams and fostering inclusive environments where talent from all backgrounds thrives

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, experience and business objectives and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range: $215,800 — $274,900 USD
