Job summary

The Rockefeller Foundation is seeking a Director, Financial Accounting & Reporting to lead the financial accounting and reporting function across the Foundation and its entities. The role ensures accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial information for internal and external stakeholders, including the Board and donors.

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience leading complex accounting functions across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Own consolidated financial statements for the Foundation and affiliated entities.
• Manage global close process (month/quarter/year) and intercompany eliminations.
• Develop and apply technical accounting positions and ensure consistent standards.
• Lead external audits and manage audit findings and relationships.
• Oversee annual tax filings (federal and excise) with external advisors.
• Develop accounting policies and maintain internal controls.
• Coordinate accounting and financial reporting with RF Catalytic Capital and partner teams.
• Supervise accounting staff, including investment accounting and AP/AR.
