Job Description About the Role:

Invesco is seeking a highly strategic and technically accomplished leader to drive the future of our global digital client experience ecosystem. The Associate Director, Global Digital Platform Technology Lead will define and deliver the technology strategy, architecture and roadmap for Invesco's external-facing digital capabilities across financial advisors, institutional clients, intermediary partners and global client experiences. This leader will own the technology direction for client and advisor portals, institutional digital servicing platforms, public websites, personalization capabilities, customer-service enablement tools and emerging AI-powered experiences that make it easier for clients to engage with Invesco globally. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise, digital product leadership, executive presence and practical experience operating within large, complex, highly matrixed financial institutions. They must be able to shape the roadmap with senior executives, navigate governance and organizational complexity, and drive sustained execution across business, technology, risk, compliance, marketing, operations and regional stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the Role:
  1. Global technology strategy and roadmap for external-facing digital platforms, including advisor portals, institutional client portals, digital servicing capabilities and Invesco’s global public website ecosystem.
  2. AI-enabled transformation of digital client experiences, including personalization, intelligent self-service, content recommendations, conversational experiences, workflow automation and scalable reusable platform capabilities.
  3. Platform modernization across web, portal, API, data, content delivery, search, analytics, security, observability and customer-engagement technologies.
  4. Executive technology partnership with Distribution, Marketing, Product, Client Service, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk and regional business leaders.
  5. Build-versus-buy-versus-partner decisions for strategic digital capabilities, including fintech, martech and AI-enabled platform partnerships.
  6. Delivery leadership across Agile teams and cross-functional programs that are critical to improving the client, advisor and institutional digital experience.
Digital Platform Strategy and Transformation

Define and execute the multi-year technology strategy for Invesco’s global digital client experience ecosystem. Lead the evolution of advisor, institutional and client-facing digital journeys across portal, web and emerging digital channels. Establish a clear roadmap that simplifies how clients engage with Invesco, improves servicing experiences, increases self-service adoption and supports differentiated digital engagement.

Create measurable OKRs and business outcomes for digital experience, operational efficiency, client engagement, platform resilience and speed to market. Drive modernization of legacy digital capabilities while balancing near-term business priorities with long-term platform health.

Executive Partnership and Organizational Leadership

Serve as a senior technology partner to Distribution, Marketing, Product, Client Service and regional leadership teams. Influence senior executive decision making by translating business strategy into practical technology roadmaps, investment priorities and delivery plans. Build alignment across large, highly matrixed global organizations where priorities, funding models, governance forums and risk considerations may compete. Navigate enterprise governance, regulatory and control processes effectively while maintaining delivery momentum and clear accountability.

Drive consensus across diverse stakeholders without relying solely on direct authority, using credibility, transparency and strong commercial judgment.

Client Experience Platforms, Portals and Websites

Own the technology strategy for advisor tools, institutional client portals, client servicing platforms and Invesco’s global external website ecosystem. Lead end-to-end digital journey improvements across discovery, education, onboarding, servicing, reporting, communication and ongoing engagement. Partner across business and technology teams to improve usability, accessibility, performance, resilience, security and global consistency of digital experiences.

Use data, analytics and client insights to shape prioritization and continuously improve digital platform capabilities.

AI and Emerging Technology Leadership

Develop and execute a 3-5 year AI roadmap for digital client experiences, intelligent servicing and personalization at scale. Partner with enterprise AI, data, architecture, security, legal and risk teams to define reusable, governed and scalable AI patterns. Identify practical opportunities for generative AI, intelligent assistants, content discovery, recommendations, workflow automation and digital-service augmentation. Balance innovation with appropriate governance, explainability, privacy, security and client trust.

Architecture, Engineering and Delivery Leadership

Set architecture direction and technology standards across the digital platform landscape in partnership with Enterprise Architecture and Solutions Architecture. Champion modern engineering practices including DevSecOps, API-first design, cloud-native development, automated testing, observability and resilient platform operations. Lead key technology decisions for platform capabilities, integrations, vendor choices and technical debt remediation. Provide direction to Agile delivery teams and ensure delivery plans remain aligned to strategic business outcomes. Remove impediments, simplify decision making and improve execution discipline across teams, vendors and partner organizations.

People, Vendor and Ecosystem Leadership

Build, develop and mentor high-performing digital engineering, architecture and platform teams. Foster a culture of customer-centricity, technical excellence, accountability, pragmatic innovation and continuous improvement.

Manage strategic vendor and partner relationships, including technology requirements, statements of work, performance expectations and long-term fit. Attract and retain talent with experience in external-facing digital platforms, AI-enabled experiences and large-scale financial services technology environments.

Requirements of the Role:
  • 10+ years of technology leadership experience, including significant responsibility for customer-facing digital platforms in financial services, asset management, wealth management, fintech or an adjacent regulated industry.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale portals, external websites, digital servicing platforms, advisor tools or institutional client platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute multi-year technology roadmaps with senior business and technology executives.
  • Strong technical depth across modern digital architectures, cloud platforms, APIs, integrations, content platforms, data-driven personalization, security and scalable engineering practices.
  • Experience delivering AI-enabled products, personalization capabilities, intelligent workflow automation or emerging digital experiences is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in large, complex, highly matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders, governance forums and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional executive communication, influencing, facilitation and decision-framing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Asset management experience is a significant plus.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a transformational technology leader who has successfully built, modernized or scaled external-facing digital platforms for clients, advisors or institutional users. They are equally comfortable discussing architecture, platform strategy, product outcomes, operating model, risk considerations and executive investment trade-offs. They will have the credibility to engage senior executives regularly, the technical judgment to make strong platform choices, and the organizational leadership skills to drive change through the complexity of a large global enterprise. This person should be pragmatic, outcome-oriented and capable of turning a 3-5 year digital and AI vision into executable roadmaps that improve the way clients work with Invesco.

Success Measures
  • Clear multi-year roadmap for global digital platforms, client portals, external websites and AI-enabled digital experiences.
  • Improved digital client journeys that make it easier for financial advisors, institutional clients and partners to engage with Invesco.
  • Stronger alignment between business strategy, technology investment, platform architecture and delivery execution.
  • Measurable progress in personalization, self-service, servicing efficiency, platform resilience and speed to market.
  • A stronger operating model for navigating enterprise governance while maintaining accountability and delivery momentum.
