Job summary

Temporal Technologies is seeking a Director of Global Developer Success to lead a deeply technical support organization across cloud-native environments and distributed systems. This leadership role focuses on turning customer technical response into a repeatable, measurable advantage for Temporal.

The team helps users deploy, operate, debug, and scale Temporal across SDKs and observability stacks. You will build an operating model, establish KPIs, and partner across Product, Engineering, and

Qualifications

• 12+ years in technical support, customer engineering, SRE, or similar.
• 5+ years leading support or customer-facing engineering teams.
• Experience building and scaling technical support ops for deeply technical B2B products.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead Global Developer Success: hire, coach, develop, retain, and performance-manage teams.
• Create the support operating system: define SLAs, triage, escalation paths, incident communications, RCA standards.
• Raise the quality bar: measure customer effort, time to resolution, reopen rate, and ownership.
• Harden Slack and customer response: define service model, escalation rules, and expectations.
• Protect Engineering focus through better support: runbooks, diagnostics, knowledge systems, and reproducibility.
• Lead escalation and incident discipline: define roles and ensure clear communications and RCAs.
• Build technical depth and enablement: training, mentorship, certification, and career paths.
• Partner across the company to turn support signal into product and lifecycle improvements.
• Use tooling and AI pragmatically: routing, summaries, analytics, knowledge surfacing, diagnostic signals.
• Represent Temporal with customers in strategic escalations and executive readouts.
