Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience, including server-side applications using JVM languages.
• Hands-on experience with JVM languages, including multithreaded programming.
• Understanding of modern software development principles, including OO design, automated testing, high-availability systems and production support.
• Experience with test frameworks such as JUnit and Cucumber and test-driven development practices.
• Knowledge of relational databases (DB2 or Sybase) and SQL; familiarity with non-relational databases like MongoDB.
• Working knowledge of Git or Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience in an Agile delivery environment across the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Amp, Codex, or Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining Prime Brokerage/Securities Financing tech solutions.
• Contributing across the software development lifecycle within a global team.
• Collaborating with business users to translate requirements into reliable software.
• Applying test-driven development and engineering best practices to improve scalability and maintainability.
• Communicating progress, risks and technical decisions clearly across distributed teams.
