Job summary

Meta is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead the CI Care organization within Integrity, spanning Menlo Park and London. You will define the engineering strategy for user-facing integrity products and drive AI-driven chat initiatives at scale.

You will lead ~45 engineers across multiple teams, partnering with product, design, and data science to shape roadmaps that improve user experience while removing bad actors from the platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering, with a focus on front end/UI.
• 7+ years of engineering management, including managing managers.
• Experience building and scaling engineering organizations and leaders.
• Experience establishing technical strategy and roadmaps across multiple teams.
• Experience partnering with product, design, and data science.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the engineering strategy for CI Care's user-facing integrity products, including the AI-driven chat experience initiative.
• Lead an organization of ~45 people across User Reporting, User Appeals, Business Appeals and Community Notes in Menlo Park and London.
• Drive technical excellence in front-end engineering and user experience across all deliverables.
• Build and scale the engineering organization by attracting, developing, and retaining engineering leaders and senior ICs.
• Partner with product, design, and data science to shape roadmaps that enhance user experience while removing bad actors.
• Champion AI/ML integration into user-facing integrity experiences, especially chat.
• Manage distributed teams across geographies and ensure collaboration MPK-London.
• Foster a culture of engineering craft, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Inform executive planning and strategic decisions for Integrity initiatives.
