Job summary

Duck Creek Technologies in Boston/Hybrid is seeking a Director of FP&A to lead critical forecasting, planning, and financial analysis across SaaS metrics. You will partner with senior leadership to connect bookings, ARR, revenue, and other SaaS metrics to informed business decisions.

The role requires strong financial modeling, advanced Excel skills, and experience in a SaaS environment with enterprise metrics. Hybrid work is available in Boston or Bay Area markets.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve rolling bookings and revenue forecasts, long-range planning, and scenario models.
• Lead annual planning, linking GTM pipeline assumptions, hiring plans, and company objectives.
• Partner with GTM leaders, Sales Ops, and FP&A to strengthen bookings/ARR forecasting and insight.
• Analyze SaaS metrics (NRR, GRR, CAC Payback, LTV) and translate into recommendations for leadership.
• Develop monthly/quarterly KPI reporting and board materials to provide a single source of truth.
• Support commission plan modeling and quota design with clean data across CRM/ERP systems.

You will work closely with senior leadership, GTM leaders, Sales Operations, and FP&A partners to connect bookings, ARR, revenue, and other SaaS metrics to clear business decisions. What You’ll Do

• Own and continuously improve rolling bookings and revenue forecasts, long-range planning, and scenario models that support business and leadership decision-making.
• Lead key elements of annual planning, connecting GTM pipeline assumptions, quota capacity, hiring plans, and company objectives.
• Partner with GTM leaders, Sales Operations, and FP&A colleagues to strengthen bookings and ARR forecasting and provide clear insight into business performance.
• Analyze key SaaS metrics, including NRR, GRR, sales capacity, AE productivity, CAC Payback, and LTV, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
• Build and refine monthly and quarterly KPI reporting, management updates, and board materials, helping establish consistent reporting and a reliable source of truth across teams.
• Support commission plan modeling and quota design while improving the flow and consistency of financial and operational data across CRM, data tools, and ERP systems.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario-planning capabilities, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to work confidently through complex data and analysis.
• Experience developed across professional services and an in-house software environment, with investment banking experience very strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working within a SaaS business and a strong understanding of ARR, recurring-revenue models, and core SaaS economics.
• Understanding of Enterprise SaaS metrics and capacity-based sales motions; Enterprise SaaS experience is preferred.
• Ability to move effectively between detailed financial analysis and strategic partnership with senior leaders, turning complex information into clear recommendations.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level materials and present insights to senior leadership.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the judgment and autonomy to manage complex priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Additional Information

Location: Boston/ Bay Area - Hybrid Working

Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.

Compensation: The expected salary range for candidates living in the San Francisco/Bay Area or Boston is $180,000 - $210,00. Actual compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location, where permitted by law.
