Director, Food & Nutrition Solutions

Summary:

Equalis Group is seeking a Director, Food & Nutrition Solutions, responsible for promoting the Equalis Group, Public Sector cooperative contract program within the Food & Nutrition Solutions portfolio working with purchasing individuals from cities, counties, k-12, state, higher ed, private sector, and non-profits. This role will also work collaboratively with awarded supply partners to develop and implement strategies that drive increased adoption of the Equalis Group, Food & Nutrition Solutions contract portfolio. This role will report to the Area VP and should expect to travel up to 30% of the time to meet with members, supplier partners, attend tradeshows, etc.

Beneficial skills and experience include sales or customer engagement, food and nutrition, public sector procurement, cooperative purchasing, project management, interpersonal and relationship management, presentations and group facilitation, and a strong ability to learn and operate in a fast-paced environment.

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Supplier/Category Optimization & Sales Expansion:

oMaintain, develop, and grow strategic relationships with Equalis Group’s consumable and non-consumable contract portfolio.

oDevelop and execute a sales plan for the Food & Nutrition Solutions category.

oMaintain and grow revenues through new member adoption of contracts to meet sales and revenue plans

oTrain supplier sales representatives on Equalis Group and their company’s Equalis Group contract.

oRegularly engage with supplier sales leadership and regional/local sales teams to secure early sales wins and drive contract revenue.

oSupport supplier sales efforts with customers to help close business.

oEnsure all parties are working in harmony to drive success through contractual partnerships.

Job Qualifications and Experience:

·This position is virtual and only requires reasonable access to travel across the country as needed.

·At least 5 years of sales experience within the consumable/non-consumable product channel.

·At least four years' experience working for or with Cooperatives, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), or other related industries.

·Energetic and enthusiastic; comfortable working in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment and enjoys building lasting relationships.

·Self-motivated, results oriented, with the ability to work in a remote environment.

·BA/BS degree preferred.

·Ability to manage time effectively.

·Strong organizational skills.
