Job summary

PGIM Global Wealth is seeking a Director to lead the Fixed Income Separately Managed Account (SMA) operations strategy, infrastructure, and day-to-day support. You will partner with Heads of SMA platforms, portfolio management, and technology to scale the platform and ensure controlled, efficient operations aligned with growth and product expansion.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in SMA and/or fixed income operations.
• Strong understanding of the fixed income securities lifecycle.
• Experience leading investment operations teams, processes, and operating models.
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle, settlement, reconciliation, and custodial relationships.
• Experience collaborating with portfolio management, trading, implementation, client service, technology, compliance, and risk teams.
• Ability to design and scale operating models for growth.
• Experience contributing to technology, automation, or process improvement initiatives.
• Hands-on Archer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational function for Fixed Income SMA, establishing the operating model, priorities, service standards, controls, and structure.
• Partner with SMA Fixed Income Implementation and trading teams for effective portfolio activity.
• Oversee readiness for new SMA accounts and onboarding across systems and platforms.
• Ensure controls around trade capture, allocation, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Identify operational risks with growth, new products, custodians, tech changes, and processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve scalability.
• Collaborate with Client Service and distribution to resolve complex operational issues.
• Build and retain a high-performing Fixed Income SMA Operations team.
