Job Opportunity: Director, Financial Systems

An insurance firm is seeking a Director, Financial Systems to join their team in White Plains, NY (4x week).

Compensation: $120-125K

This role is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and administering Oracle Financial applications, including General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with finance business users to gather requirements, implement business processes, and introduce new features.
  2. Collaborate with technology team members and developers to design, QA, and implement system modifications related to various business units.
  3. Provide operational support to ensure efficient use of Oracle tools and adoption of new functionalities.
  4. Perform QA testing for projects, including rollout of new features, bug fixes, and upgrades.
  5. Conduct conference room pilots, end-user training, testing, and business process engineering.
  6. Create documentation for business processes, system changes, and other relevant materials.
  7. Coordinate work and manage projects across multiple business groups.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience working with Oracle EBS R12.
  • Expertise in Multi-Org Oracle Financials, General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience engaging Oracle Support for issue resolution.
  • Proficiency with low-level ad-hoc query tools (Toad, SQLPlus) and a working knowledge of SQL queries.
  • Proven ability to solve problems and handle challenges with good judgment.
  • Ability and desire to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Excel4Apps is a plus.
