Job summary

Hemphill Exclusive partners with a major Nebraska organization to fill a Director of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting. You will work closely with the CFO and Corporate Controller on complex transactions, consolidations, and external filings, becoming the go-to technical authority across the accounting team.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting background with experience in complex transactions and consolidations.
• Experience with SEC reporting and 10-K/10-Q filings.
• SOX and internal controls program ownership and execution.
• Proven leadership and ability to mentor staff and partner with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex transactions, acquisitions, integrations and consolidated financial reporting.
• Research and resolve complex accounting questions; communicate conclusions to senior leadership.
• Own and advance the SOX program and internal controls across the organization.
• Prepare and develop ownership for the company's SEC filings and reporting.
• Mentor and develop junior staff, translating technical knowledge to teammates.
