Job Description

Role Summary

The Director for Financial Performance provides strategic oversight and leadership for the operational functions that drive the efficiency and effectiveness of the Service Center and its partner districts. This role is responsible for managing and aligning key operational areas for external Business Office services with high-quality support including regular and pertinent training for both internal staff and district staff and technical support. The Director of Financial Performance ensures that all services are delivered with operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a focus on continuous improvement. This position requires strong organizational management, process optimization, and strategic decision-making to enhance overall performance and meet the evolving needs of the ESC and the districts served.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of five or more years of experience working with budgets/budget planning
  • Prefer 3 - 5 years of experience as a Texas School District Business Manager
  • Supervisory experience

Essential Functions

  • Designs, delivers, monitors client budgets and financial records
  • Collaborate with Grant Management teams
  • Partners closely with department leadership team to develop effective expenditure plans for local, state, and federal funding
  • Contributes to the alignment of the vision and mission of Region 3 and the Region 3 business operations and the school finance support departments
  • Contributes to the scaling and aligning of best practices with budget and grant expenditures
  • Supervises client business operations to ensure timeliness and accuracy of budgeting processes
  • Complies with federal and state laws, State Board of Education Rules, and ESC board policy and procedures
  • Presents customized administrative overviews of client budget analysis
  • Establishes a cadence of meetings with appropriate audiences to share in-depth data results and program progress
  • Supervises department staff

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $97,697 to $117,708 Per Year
