Job description

By joining our rapidly growing Financial Due Diligence Analytics practice, you will serve as a trusted partner to our clients. You’ll bring your first‑hand experience, unique perspectives, and deep functional knowledge to deliver tailored, data‑driven solutions that help private equity and corporate clients navigate complex transactions—solving today’s challenges while setting the foundation for lasting value creation. As a Director at CrossCountry Consulting, you will be responsible for client delivery, business development, leading teams, developing junior members, and serving as a member of CrossCountry's leadership team.

What You’ll Do
Client Delivery
  • Spearhead buy‑side and sell‑side financial due diligence engagements (including carve‑outs and divestitures), guiding clients through the full transaction lifecycle—from initial risk assessment through deal close and post‑transaction support.
  • Direct the development of quality of earnings (QoE) analyses, net working capital assessments, normalized EBITDA evaluations, and cash flow analyses that surface key value drivers, risks, and opportunities for clients.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of advanced analytics solutions—including data modeling, interactive dashboards, and visualization outputs—that transform complex financial datasets into executive‑ready insights.
  • Drive hypothesis‑led, data‑enabled approaches to uncover performance trends, margin dynamics, revenue quality, and balance sheet considerations that inform deal valuation and negotiation strategy.
  • Integrate leading analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python) into diligence workflows to accelerate delivery speed and enhance the depth of client insights.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing firm‑approved, AI‑enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards.
  • Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes.
Practice Leadership
  • Oversee client accounts, projects, and engagements, including work plans, staffing, timelines, fee negotiations, and budgets throughout all lifecycle phases, covering strategy, goal setting, deliverables, and maintaining an integrated project plan.
  • Lead business development efforts and market a full range of FDD Analytics services to prospective clients—including private equity sponsors, corporate acquirers, and lenders—leveraging existing relationships to generate new opportunities.
  • Develop timely resolutions to issues, mitigate deal‑related risks, and address project team conflicts in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments.
  • Build scalable delivery methodologies and new FDD Analytics service offerings that differentiate CrossCountry in the market.
  • Cultivate the next generation of analytics talent by establishing coaching frameworks, delivering performance feedback, and sponsoring junior team members' professional growth.
  • Manage teams and people by tracking and directing performance against objectives while encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.
What You’ll Bring
  • In‑depth knowledge of financial due diligence concepts including quality of earnings, net working capital analysis, pro forma adjustments, and deal structuring considerations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with analytics and data platforms such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or R, and the ability to apply these tools within a transaction context.
  • Consistent success in building and developing strong client relationships with private equity firms, corporate development teams, and lenders across multiple industries.
  • Proven experience identifying new growth and shared revenue opportunities by collaborating with sales leadership to generate new business, expand existing relationships, and increase bookings.
  • Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm‑approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
  • Continuous learning mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards.
  • A passion for mentoring and leading teams while efficiently implementing new ideas and initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree a plus.
  • CPA, CA, or CFA certification preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in financial due diligence, transaction advisory, or a related field within a public accounting or professional services environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%. Travel varies based on client preferences.
