Job summary

DoorDash, Inc. is seeking a strategic finance leader to guide the Ads & Promos strategy. You will own the full P&L, lead weekly reporting and forecasting, and collaborate across Finance, Operations, Sales, Product, Marketing and Legal to optimize investments and profitability.

The Finance & Strategy team accelerates the growth of our business by identifying and implementing new opportunities and solutions. We partner with teams across the company to improve the profitability, scalability and defensibility of our business model. We're looking for people who can use strategy to identify areas of opportunity, and collaborate to help carry projects from conception through execution.

About The Role

We are looking for someone who will help guide our strategy in Ads & Promos. You will be the strategic advisor to important partners across DoorDash to ensure we are making the most efficient investment and capital allocation decisions while improving the experience for all of our advertisers and marketplace participants. You will lead financial reporting, forecasting, and planning, and will guide financial insights and direction for all of our operational decisions and strategies.

• Own the full P&L, with a deep understanding of the key drivers to strategically balance profitability and the customer experience
• Tackle complex operational challenges by partnering closely with cross-functional teams across Finance (Accounting, Analytics) and beyond (Operations, Sales, Product, Marketing, Legal) to drive data-informed decisions and high-impact investments
• Lead weekly financial reporting and forecasting, as well as quarterly planning, acting as the go-to expert on business performance
• Identify and evaluate key risks and opportunities, build business cases and investment proposals, and ensure effective execution of strategic initiatives

• Hands-on experience working with analytics tools and large datasets to uncover actionable insights and drive a deeper understanding of the business

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependant and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.

Paid Time Off Details

• For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
• For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado. $193,800-285,000 USD.
