Job summary

Catalent's Kansas City site seeks a Finance Director to lead financial planning and analysis for the site, including monthly actuals, forecasts, budgets and strategic plans. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support customer negotiations to drive site performance.

This onsite role requires ten years of finance experience with strong leadership in manufacturing, plus ERP expertise (JDE, OneStream) and deep knowledge of revenue recognition and related controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum ten years of progressive Finance experience, incl five years in leadership.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Leadership program participation with Catalent may count as external experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages the accounting function with policy and control development.
• Provide financial decision support to the site and for customer negotiations.
• Lead and develop the Finance team and guide performance.
• Oversee revenue recognition, multiple element arrangements and related policies.

About Site

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses.

Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Finance Director (Clinical & Specialist Services) to join our team. In this role, you will lead financial planning and analysis for the site, including monthly actuals, forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide financial support for customer negotiations. This position offers the chance to make a significant impact on site operations and business success.

100% Onsite

The Role

• Directs and manages the accounting function, develops and maintains policies, procedures and budgetary controls
• Provide financial decision support to the site
• Manage the performance and professional development of the Finance team
• Lead finance team members
• Revenue Recognition expertise is required. Understanding multiple element arrangements revenue guidance is necessary. Documenting the policy and instructing the site and maintain appropriate controls on this process is essential
• Complete analysis of proposed investments and other projects Development and implementation of policies and procedures
• Manage internal/external audit support
• Perform other duties as assigned

The Candidate

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum ten years of progressive Finance experience, including five years of finance leadership experience with a medium to large organization
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent‑sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.

Preferred Skills & Background

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Experience in biologics or pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) industry
• Pharmaceutical manufacturer
• Experience with ERP systems required and knowledge of JDE and OneStream
• Experience with Lean implementation
